What is a Soil Moisture Datalogger?

We are a leading manufacturing company for soil moisture which Measuring the water content in the soil, plays an important role in the field of Agriculture and also used to find that the land is suitable for constructing Industries or not. In this project, we are using a soil moisture sensor. these sensors measure the volumetric water content in the soil. Now we tell you how these moisture sensors measure the volumetric water content indirectly by using some other property of the soil, such as electrical resistance, dielectric constant, or interaction with neutrons, as a proxy for the moisture content. The soil sensor must be calibrated. In our project we use Data loggers to store the resistance values by means of the memory device and those values are displayed on LCD. The stored values are used to analyze the data for examining the quality of the soil.

Working of Soil Moisture

Now We discuss working Soil sensors to measure the water content in the soil. A soil probe is made up of multiple soil sensors. One common type of soil  sensor in commercial use is a Frequency domain sensor such as a capacitance sensor. Another sensor will be used to measure the neutron moisture gauge, utilizes the moderator properties of water for neutrons. This content may be determined via its effect on the dielectric constant by measuring the capacitance between two electrodes implanted in the soil. Where soil moisture is predominantly in the form of free water (e.g., the dielectric constant is directly proportional to the moisture content. The probe is normally given a frequency excitation to permit the measurement of the dielectric constant. In soil sensors readout from the probe is not linear with water content and is influenced by soil type and soil temperature. Therefore, careful calibration is required and the long-term stability of the calibration is questionable.

Importance of Soil Moisture

AdvanceTech India Pvt Ltd Soil moisture data logger monitors, especially the new generation of data loggers with the latest devices, show you how water is moving through your soils, with precision and vividness that most irrigation have never seen before and we are best in soil moisture. our data loggers allow you to look beneath the surface of the soil .with the cost of sophisticated monitoring systems dropping into the range of a few hundred dollars, many of these devices are rapidly paying for themselves in the form of crop yield improvements, energy, saving water conservation, and peace of mind and all-time useful for farmers. On the other hand, soil moisture monitors don’t “tell you when to irrigate “.You will need to develop guidelines for your own crops and soils and you are free to learn and feel soil health and there is no substitute for the experience, subtle observations, and judgment that make someone a good farmer.
