The Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) organized its 6th Officers’ Retreat from April 5 to 7, 2013, at the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), Faridabad, Haryana.

The Hon’ble Finance Minister of India inaugurated the retreat on April 6, 2013. A highlight of the event was the panel discussion on the theme ‘Autonomy Versus Accountability’ led by Prof. Pramod Kumar, Prof. Dipankar Gupta, and Prof. Atul Sood, respectively, the chairman and members of the Punjab Reforms Commission.

The participants included in the Panel Discussion on the theme “Addressing the Challenges of Public Service Delivery”. Union Minister Kapil Sibal and V. Narayanasamy (M.o.S.), as well as National Advisory Committee member N.C. Saxena.

National Workshop on ‘citizen Centric Governance’

The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), in collaboration with the Institute for Development and Communication (IDC), Chandigarh, organized a one-day National Workshop on Citizen Centric Governance on September 12, 2015, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The Hon’ble Finance Minister of India, Shri Arun Jaitley, inaugurated the workshop, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Director, IDC, delivered the keynote address. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of Development of North Eastern Region; Prime Minister Office; Personnel-Public Grievances and Pensions; and Atomic Energy and Space graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
