Gurleen Kaur
Gurleen Kaur is a Chandigarh-based printmaker who holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh. Through her academic and studio practice, she has developed a deep connection with both traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques.
Gurleen’s work draws inspiration from everyday life, cultural narratives, and the subtle emotions that shape human experiences. Specializing in woodcut, etching, and mixed print processes, she explores the delicate relationships between memory, identity, and the spaces we inhabit. For Gurleen, printmaking operates as a unique language where repetition, texture, and layers communicate in ways that words cannot. Each of her prints becomes a story told through the physical rhythm of the process—carrying the distinct marks of the hand alongside the precision of the technique. Her ongoing practice focuses on experimenting with new forms, materials, and visual storytelling to create deeply grounded and reflective artwork.
